Manufacturing details of the Marlin New Model 1894
by Scott Crawford - July 30, 2021
- This is the new model 1894 designed and built by Marlin.
- Available from: 1969 to Present
- Cartridges: .44 Magnum
- Notes: After a few diffcult years of manufacturing the Model 336 in caliber .44 magnum, Marlin decided to eliminate the frustration of trying to get a rifle designed for long rifle cartridges to function correctly with a short pistol length cartridge. It descontinued the 336/.44 magnum. Knowing there was still a market for a shoulder-fired .44 magnum, Marlin reintroduced, in 1969, the old Marlin Model 1894 beiginning a new rich history.
