- The same build as the model 336 Sporting Carbine (SC) except the chambering and this comes with Micro-Groove rifling.

- Cartridges: .30-30, .35 Remington, .44 Magnum
- Notes: A 100th-year commemorative medallion was embedded into each buttstock manufactured in 1970. In 1971, the 336T lever was changed to the square type that was used on the octagon-barrel models. In 1983 the gold platted steel triggers were changed to blued steel triggers. The barrel length of the 336T was changed from 20.0" to 18-1/2" in 1983. In 1984 the Cross Bolt Safety (CBS) was added to the 336T and at that time the designation was changed to 336TS. In 1988 the 336TS was replaced by the New Model 336LTS, which had a 16-1/4" round barrel, straight stock, square lever, carbine type front sight, and a 5 shot full length magazine.
