by Scott Crawford - June 13, 2022
- Big-bore lever actions are enjoying a bit of a renaissance today, and several manufacturers are attempting to muscle away a portion of Marlin’s rather steady market for .45-70 rifles.
- Available from: 1998 - 2019
- Cartridges: .45-70 Govt.
- Notes: The first Marlin Model 1895G debuted in 1998 and was available with optional factory ported barrels between 1998-2002. The Model 1895G has been in continuous production from 1998 to the present day, and is currently produced by Ruger Firearms under the Marlin brand. Ruger is expected to start production of Marlin rifles sometime in the fall of 2021.
