Manufacturing details of the Ithaca Model 49B
by Scott Crawford - July 26, 2021
- This is the single shot model 49 Saint Louis Bicentennial lever action rifle in .22 long rifle caliber.
- Available from: 1964 to 1971
- Cartridges: .22 S/L/LR
- Notes: The receivers were made of a pot metal type steel and the finish on the receivers was primarily a paint type finish. They were not noted for keeping pins and extractors in place as the receivers would weaken around the pins because of the soft pot metal.
